Privacy
The Honorable Path: Washington's Life. Last updated October 21, 2026.
The game
The game collects no personal data. None.
- No ads.
- No accounts or sign-ins.
- No network use. The game does not connect to the internet.
- Saves stay on your device. They never leave your family's computer or tablet.
Children's privacy
The game is made for children. Because the game collects nothing from anyone, there is no child's information to gather, store, share or sell. We built it this way so it fits the spirit of the U.S. children's privacy law (COPPA). We do not claim any outside certification.
The optional email box on our beta page is for parents and other adults only. It is not meant for children, and we do not knowingly collect a child's email. If you think a child has sent us one, email us and we will delete it.
This website
This website has no ads and no advertising trackers, and it loads no outside fonts. Our web host, Cloudflare, may keep standard server logs, as all web hosts do. We do not use them to identify you.
Visit counts. We use two privacy-friendly analytics tools to see how many people visit, which pages they read, and which buttons they click (for example, how many people click a download button): Cloudflare Web Analytics and Umami Cloud (hosted in the United States). Both are cookieless: they set no cookies, do not track you from site to site, and build no personal profiles. We only see totals, such as page views, button clicks such as downloads, the country of a visit, and the kind of browser and device. Neither is Google Analytics, and nothing is shared with advertisers. They work through small scripts from Cloudflare (static.cloudflareinsights.com) and Umami (cloud.umami.is). See Umami's privacy policy.
Links to Pinterest take you to Pinterest's site, which has its own privacy policy.
Beta testers and update emails
A few families test the game early through a password-protected beta page. Here is everything the site keeps:
- A parent's email, only if you choose to give it. On the beta page, a parent can ask to get an email when the full version is ready. We keep only the email address, the date, and which computer you picked (Windows or Mac). It is stored with Cloudflare. We use it only to send news about the game. We never sell, rent or share it. To have it deleted, email [email protected] and we will delete it. Skipping the email box is fine; you can still download the beta.
- Download counts. We count how many times the Windows and Mac downloads are started. Each count is just a number. It holds no personal data.
- One cookie, for beta testers only. After you enter the beta password, the site sets one cookie that remembers you entered it, for about 3 days. It is not used for tracking. Other pages set no cookies.
- Cloudflare Turnstile. The beta password form and the email form use Turnstile, Cloudflare's privacy-friendly check that a real person is there. It is not a picture puzzle and is not used for ads or tracking. It loads only on those beta pages. Cloudflare looks at basic browser and network signals to run the check; see Cloudflare's privacy policy. We do not receive or keep anything from it except a pass or fail.
- Country check. For now the beta is open only in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. Cloudflare tells our site which country a visit comes from, based on the network address. We use that only to allow or refuse the beta pages, and we do not store it. The home page and this page are open everywhere.
- Stopping password guessing. After a wrong beta password, the site keeps a scrambled (hashed) form of the visitor's network address for 15 minutes, then deletes it automatically.
The download files may be hosted by another service, such as Google Drive, which has its own privacy policy. The game itself still collects nothing.
